Cornerstone Place are part of the NatWest SE100 index for the second year running! This index recognises the top 100 UK Social Enterprises demonstrating strong growth, impact management, and innovation.
At the same time, David and Richard our founders, are listed among the ‘Pioneers100’ list which recognises “the 100 most pioneering impact leaders in the UK.” This is a great honour and, as its the first such list put together by NatWest and Pioneers Post, even more so!
Nat West’s Andrew Harrison says "...these are leaders whose commitment, values and impact are shaping the future of the social enterprise sector.”
But we do know that awards and lists only really matter if they signpost something bigger than the people named in them. For Cornerstone Place, that’s the charities trying to hold communities together as housing need keeps rising, the local authority officers still fighting to create genuinely affordable homes despite impossible pressures and the frontline teams supporting families in temporary accommodation....The community organisations, funders, campaigners and social entrepreneurs quietly refusing to accept that the current system is 'just the way things are.'
This new Pioneers100 list as part of the SE100 shows the growing movement of people actively trying to redesign systems around dignity, community and long-term stewardship instead of profit.
We are delighted to stand alongside all those helping shape the future on these lists and beyond.
