Over the past few months, Cornerstone Place and Rethink Mental Illness have been working together to develop proposals for new supported homes in Sheffield for people living with mental illness. The hope is that up to 14 new homes will be designed to provide safe, stable and appropriate accommodation for people who need it most.

Through our Impact First Social Housing® approach, Cornerstone Place is supporting the early-stage development work - from site identification and feasibility testing through to funding structures, delivery planning and construction. The proposals also include office, consultation and potentially community engagement space.

People living with severe mental illness continue to face unequal access to good quality housing, while housing instability can significantly worsen mental health outcomes.

At Cornerstone Place, we believe housing is one of the most important foundations for recovery, dignity and independence. The right home can create the stability people need to rebuild their lives.
