Cornerstone Place are privileged to be supporting Bristol, one of the pilot cities for the MHCLG Small Sites Aggregator scheme.
We will be taking a site in North Bristol through the planning process to deliver fourteen two- and four-bedroom homes for families who urgently need safe, stable accommodation.
As our Co-Founder, Richard Kennedy, explains:
“At Cornerstone Place we developed our Impact First Social Housing® model to put families in housing need like those in Bristol at the heart of everything we do. We are delighted to be working with the Bristol City Council Housing Team and look forward to delivering positive outcomes for the city’s residents.”
Together, Cornerstone Place and Bristol City Council are responding to the city’s temporary accommodation pressures, seeking not just more homes, but high-quality homes for residents experiencing housing need.
Councillor Barry Parsons, Chair of the Homes and Housing Delivery Committee, said:
“In Bristol, we are exploring innovative ways to deliver new, affordable homes at scale and pace. By working with Cornerstone Place, we are looking to secure planning permission for more affordable homes in North Bristol, supporting vulnerable families at the sharpest end of the national housing crisis. I look forward to seeing this site progress.”
At Cornerstone Place our new build homes are constructed using Modern Methods of Construction (MMC) and designed as psychologically informed environments, supporting residents’ wellbeing alongside their housing needs.
We believe it is essential that safe, stable homes are available within the communities where people experience housing need, not miles away wherever a vacancy happens to exist. When families in crisis are placed out of area, they can become separated from relatives, schools, employment and vital support networks at the moment they need them most.
Impact First Social Housing® keeps people at the centre of delivery, helping families remain in their own towns and cities and supporting long-term community stability and growth.
